The world is a very interesting place. Listen, I'm not here to argue religion or science. But let's be real. We are all animals and we were all born with natural instincts to thrive and get what we want. Look at babies, they cry and do whatever they want because they are free from the outcome. They're not stifled by all the social conditioning.
We were meant to be free and expressive, to thrive in a world full of chaos yet a world full of order. One quick thing before I move on, I used the baby example to represent that ambition and freedom we're all born with. I don't want you to start whining and complaining if things don't go your way. That's a victim mentality. It's weak and it's soft and it doesn't help anybody, don't fall into that trap.
Let's get one thing clear. Listening to all that "make me feel good" B.S. on the internet isn't helping you out. It's not okay to be soft, it's not okay to let other people dictate your life, it's not okay to be nice because you're scared to speak up (be nice because you want to and when the time is right, not because you're forced to). It's not okay to feel all sad and "depressed" when things don't go your way. Etc, etc, etc...
Being "soft" is a waste of time, energy and life.
Just think of all the time you have wasted thinking about why something didn't work out or why someone disagreed with you. Learn from your mistakes and move on. Don't spend your whole day or even weeks thinking about that one thing that didn't go your way.
Life is beautiful and every second wasted on negative emotions or thoughts is a second wasted from living your life to the fullest.
Stop being soft.
Have empathy, care for others. But do not be soft.
DO NOT BE SOFT.
I'm serious, it's time to get hard. I don't care if you're a man or a woman or identify as anything else. You have no excuse to not be hard.
Being hard doesn't mean to be rude to other people or to take advantage of others. Being hard doesn't mean to be evil and do wrong unto others.
Being hard is about being in control of yourself and your emotions. Being hard is about being a wolf, a relentless beast showing up day after day always craving the hunt and never getting tired. Because the moment that wolf gets soft is the moment that wolf starves to death.
Embrace the uncertainty. Love the ambiguity.
Challenges are good. Every problem we face and solve takes us to the next level. The only way to improve is by challenging ourselves. Comfort leads to mediocrity, and there is nothing good for you on that side.
If your life was on the line and you needed food you wouldn't hesitate to go find it.
Your life depends on your hunger for success. The more success you achieve the better your life will become.
Success is defined by what you hold most dear to you. What are your values? What are your goals? What do you love doing?
For me, success is living my life to the fullest. Having a healthy and strong mind, body, and soul. I want to be one of the greatest developers ever (it's going to take effort and time, it has to be earned). Success for me is also being able to take care of my family, girlfriend (future wife) and friends. I want to have financial freedom, I want power, I want knowledge.
For you, it could be something else.
Whatever your SUCCESS is you can never fall into the deadly trap of comfort. Comfort is the killer of dreams.
If you want to make $100,000 by the end of this year, then I challenge you to shoot for $1,000,000 or more! Because even if you fall short on that goal, you'll still make more than $100,000. 10X you're goals!
I will write about the 10X rule another time. (Grant Cardone is the OP of this rule, look him up, love him or hate him, he's got the right mindset.)
I've been using this rule for a couple of years now and the results have been amazing.
Never settle for anything less than what you deserve. Don't be afraid to dream big.
Also, don't let your dreams be dreams, dreams without action are purely mental masturbation.
The size of our thinking determines the size of your success. I heard this phrase once, I can't remember the source, but it stuck with me.
If you think small with small ideas then your success will also be small. But if you think big and don't limit yourself, then your success in return will also be big.
Listen, I know some of this advice isn't what you usually hear. But I assure you it's what you need. Deep down inside you, there is something telling you that you deserve more than what you're getting.
Go hunt and after you eat go hunt for more.
Thrive while the others are coping.
Eat those sheep without remorse.
You are awake, they're not.
There is nothing wrong with that.
Your life and future depend on your hunger. Your loved ones depend on it.
EMBRACE THE WOLF.
